Personal skin care is a very important issue as long as skin health is concerned.  The how-to for personal skin care differs from individual to individual.  Personal skin care refers to following a routine or a procedure for attending to the needs of your skin.

How many times you exfoliate in a week depends on your skin type. You should exfoliate more in hot and humid weather. 

Another very important thing to consider in personal skin care is moisturizing. Moisturizers help seal the moisture in your skin as well as attract moisture from the air whenever needed. It is important to note that too much use of moisturizers can clog the skin pores and end up harming your skin. To get the best result, moisturizers should be applied when the skin is still damp.

Avoiding too much exposure to the sun’s UV rays is also very important. Using moisturizers with UV protection is advised.

The facts about Oily skin care



Simply put, oily skin is a result of excessive production of sebum, an oily substance that is naturally produced by the skin. When produced in excess sebum is bad as it leads to clogging of skin pores, resulting in accumulation of dead cells and hence formation of pimples and acne. This affects your looks negatively. The basic aim of oily skin care is to remove excess sebum or oil from the skin. However, oily skin care procedures should not lead to complete removal of oil. For extremely oily skin, only oily skin care products are suitable. Your oily skin care routine can include an alcohol based toner for an extremely oily skin. This is another step in your oily skin care routine i.e. just after cleansing. However, excessive toning can harm your skin.

The next step in your oily skin care routine can be a mild moisturizer. Again, the degree of oiliness of your skin determines whether you need to include this in your oily skin care routine or not. If you do decide to include a moisturizer, be sure to use one that is oil-free, wax-free and lipid-free. 

Getting an oily skin care product that is suitable for you may require you trying out a few. Skin care products with vitamin A and sulphur are advisable.
