How To Comb And Brush Your Hair... To Avoid Hair Breakage

One of the causes of hair breakage and damage is not combing or brushing your hair in the proper way. When there are tangles, there are ways you comb your hair and it will result to hair breakages.

To avoid hair breakage and damage, there certain things you should do when combing or brushing your hair. Breaking of hair can lead to hair loss. The following hair care tips will help you when combing and brushing your hair to avoid breaking of hair.

1. Use brushes with bristles made from natural animal hairs. They are softer and more flexible, which means less damage will be done to your hair.

2. Hair is most fragile when it is wet, therefore avoid brushing or combing when the hair is wet, as this will cause breakage. Wait until your hair is almost completely dry before brushing it.

3. Use brushes and combs with widely spaced bristles and teeth and smooth tips. Sharp tooth combs can damage your hair, cause split ends, and scratch your scalp.

4. To keep your brushes and combs clean, wash them weekly using soap or shampoo.

5. Always comb your hair to remove tangles before brushing it.

6. Start by combing your hair gently at the ends to get tangles out and work your way up to the base of your hair.

7. Always brush and comb with a downwards stroke.

The steps above if properly followed will save your hair breakages resulting from combing and brushing.
